Pho was sensational
I have had lunch at Tudo a few times now and outside of Vietnam it's the best bowl of Pho I've had., the spring rolls are fresh and dipping sauce is very nice. Try the Vietnamese iced coffee if you need a lift, it's beautiful

Put this on your Tu Do list!
Our first time at Tu Do, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of special beef noodle soup - a bargain at $10! For dessert we had banana fritters and lychee (both with ice cream and a steal at $3.50), which were heavenly.

The atmosphere was substantially lacking, subpar. In need of a stronger Asian theme.

Our waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic. Look out for the one with black glasses. She's the best.

Tu Do, O'Connor Shops - Too Good!
I've been dining in and out of the Tu Do for nigh on 17 years now. Gone are the days of pedalling home with a curried chicken in coconut cream in the backpack on a Friday night. These days I more often eat in the Tu Do, and in fact I've driven from South Tuggers all the way to O'Connor on many an occasion just to eat there. This really IS the best Vietnamese in Canberra...and it's dirt cheap.

Occasionally the food can be of variable quality, but to tell the truth, it doesn't matter when it's awesome right from the start!

The vegetarian spring rolls are my fave, followed by either a special beef noodle soup (pho), or sate chicken. I swear, you can tell how good the Vietnamese restaurant is from the vego spring rolls and the sate. My barometer of a good Vietnamese is that if the spring rolls don't rock your boat, the sate's bound to be a shocker. Not so at the Tu Do - it all borders on brilliance. The sate chicken, lemongrass and chilli chicken, chicken with special sauce, mint chicken...look, they're all great.

The food at the Tu Do is cheap, but if you tricked up the appearance of the shop and charged twice the price for the food, you'd still be thinking you were getting a good deal.

Frankly, the only downside to the Tu Do is that it's hard to get a table at rush hour, and it sometimes gets loud and hard to have a conversation.

Service is fast and friendly, and most importantly - this could be Canberra's best-kept secret.
