A popular meeting spot for the residents and milling crowds around the Castle Towers Piazza, this bar and restaurant offers bright, funky decor and alfresco dining and drinking. Grab a coffee or a perhaps a sneaky drink downstairs (the staff recommend a Trellini fizz - peach schnapps and fresh mango, topped with sparkling wine), before tucking into a woodfired pizza or baby calamari, flash-fried with chilli and a skordalia and orange rosemary dressing.

Top spot
Twice recently have eaten at the same time & one other a dinner. The food was awesome. Having had Wood Fire pizza and my first Risotto! That risotto will be my bench mark for life! My special friend and I chatted forever with our waitress giving us the kindness of space and time to enjoy as I'm moving away. The service is wonderful and staff just lovely as can be. Food to die for...what more is there!!Thank you all at Trellini's for my special memories.

wonderful pizza
I walked in to enjoy lunch with a friend. I found the atmosphere lovely and the food was great! I had a chicken pizza with avocado's and would have taken a picture of it if I'd had my camera. Fresh vegies, beautiful chicken with an amazing flavour! We were well looked after with all the chatting we were doing the staff patiently continued to ask if we wanted anything. It was an enjoyable experience. Will be going back frequently till we move. Wish I could take them with us!Thank you!

There's salad and then there is salad
Staff are always friendly but I feel the standard of salads tasted on my last couple of visits have sadly been lacking in taste.

Bring back the cheese plate
Trellinis is my local so I have eaten there many times over the years. Recently, I have had the pleasure of eating at some amazing resturants in the city. I went back to Trellinis with 'fresh eyes' this time.
Firstly, we ordered an appetizer plate which translates to bread spread with oil and three condiments: hommus, avocado dip and some pitted black olives and whole green olives. Disappointed. Luckily I like olives.
I was craving fish and was really disappointed with the slim pickings on this side! I chose the peppered salmon salad. Pleasantly surprised: presented just the way I like it, with less salad, more salmon. A whole salmon fillet. Beautiful.
I enquired about a cheese plate: "no one ordered it so we took it off the menu." I love finishing a meal with a cheese plate. Bring it back! I might start a petition.
For dessert I enquired about the lemon and date slice. My waiter (the second, more experienced one) suggested I go for the citris lemon slice instead. Reason: "That one was made fresh today... by my mum" (no joke). I followed his suggestion. Out came two wedges of soft lemon sponge with ice cream, cream and raspberries in a glass. Beautiful. Light. Zesty.
My dining partners experience: Liked the appitizer (love avocado), disappointed by main meal of chicken spinach with pasta (the pasta didn't taste cooked. On the border line between al dente and uncooked. Didn't finish it but felt stuffed). Dessert: carrot cake. "Just carrot cake, nothing to write home about"
Food: I bumped up the stars on account of my salmon. Service: Our first waiter gave the impression he 'know what he was talking about. Our second waiter was better. Atmosphere: We sat downstairs to eat dinner. Perhaps the atmosphere is better upstairs. Stick to coffee or drinks downstairs.
