Meaning "the secret bistro", this authentic little Italian trattoria really is a hidden gem on Brookvale's busy strip of Pittwater Road.
Many Italian chefs claim to be authentic, but few have as much claim to it as Vinicio Rinaldi. The owner and chef of Trattoria Il Segreto blends his own flour and makes the pasta used in his restaurant every day by hand. The result is a melange of regional dishes brimming with the culture and vibrant flavour of truly Italian cooking.
The menu changes almost daily, but if the Verona-style osso bucco is available it comes highly recommended. Rich and hearty, it is a stunning representation of the rustic charm of northen Italian cuisine.
