Restaurant Information
Trapezi
Set in the newly-hip development of Station Street, Fairfield, this a la carte taverna-style restaurant pays homage to the region's multicultural roots with genuine Greek cuisine. Arty photos of Greek fishermen, Hellenic newspapers and Bazoukis adorn the walls while the dimly lit interior opens out into a double level blue stone courtyard dining area giving Trapezi a modern European vibe. The food revolves around kreatika (meats) and thallasina (seafood) with saganaki, dips, skewers of lamb and fetta garden salads available as daily specials. The wine list boasts 28 wines, many imported from Greece, as well as Retsina Maloumatina and Mythos, an imported Greek beer. Diners can enjoy live Greek music from Tuesday to Thursday. A happy snap display beside a joking sign which reads 'no dancing on tables, no breaking plates' hints that this is a place for great food and good times.

The best Greek Restaurant in Melbourne by far we have ever eaten at!
Food quality was beaming, devouring our food, quantity heaps, service warm and attentive, enviroment was warm, my friends and I felt and were made to feel totally like we were at home. From our starters, home made dips and more to our main meals, all and more we were treated to a fantastic treat as our pallet was constantly being suprised. We've been searching high/wide and low for real traditional Greek food and hospitality. We all found it in abundance at trapezi. Highly, no actually very highly reccomended. I had to spread the word. Everyone who's within travelling distance or more so people who appreciate fresh, wonderful and plentyful food, people who appreciate being tr been searching for deep down wanting to be treated like a friend with respect and made to feel completely comfortable should indeed make their way to Trapezi! Thank you, thank you thank you Trapezi, thank you so much for making our special get together even more special. More than we all had anticipated.
We will be back. Andrianaxxx

Wow-Fantastic, Absolute wonder food, wonder people, real warm-just like home!!!
Peoples you may think im crazy. I just love my food! Just arrived home from Trapezi having had dinner. I had to get on and tell the you all Trapezi is absolutely fab. The meat and seafood is absolutely devine. Being of Greek background I have dinned in most Greek establishments, including the famous ones, (we know who they are). I am constantly on the move round Australia due to work commitments. Dinning out regular. My friends had suggested Trapezi a few months ago as a dinning experience to savour. The food my business partners and I enjoyed today would have to be the best Greek food we have ever had without a Shadow of a doubt. Why would I be here just after 11.30pm telling you all now. The service was excellent, caring, very homey. You were made to feel as if you were invited for dinner at Aunty Maria's place. Trapezi tonight filled in for aunty Maria, her floor staff, chefs including owners were attentive and caring. The food marvelously marinated, not the usual run of the mill I'm and we all are in every other Greek dinning establishment, the dips were fantastic home made. Peoples the serves were so generous, how do they do it? No stopping at the local 7-eleven/Maccas after Trapezi. Ive babbled enough get down to this wonderful place. Trapezi = warm inviting, quality food, quatity food and a care factor that has not been matched. Sounds like my Aunty Maria's home. Goonight sweet dreams to all. Completely satisfied!
