A landmark on the Brisbane pub scene, the Trans has been around longer than most people care to remember, serving up generous serves of good old Aussie steak.
Opened in 1884, the pub was originally designed as a high-class hang out for 19th-century gentlemen. Thank heavens that isn't the case now, with great live music and dance areas to go along with your tasty cheap eats.
The signature 500g MSA-graded Queensland steak is pasture-fed on selected grasses before being finished on 100 days of grain in the Darling Downs area. It's so maroon - to wash it down with anything other than a XXXX would be blasphemy.
