Located on the ground floor of Darwin's exclusive Evolution tower, John Spellman's plush $1.7 million Italian restaurant, Tramontana, has been generating a lot of buzz, but not for the reasons you'd think. First, the venue earned top props in the industry for their high-tech toilets; the cubicles all have completely transparent glass doors which frost up to become opaque at the push of a button. Then, the restaurant once again made headlines with their controversial "thongage" charge: a $10 fee for customers who insist on wearing the footwear in his elegant diner. Despite the antics, Head Chef Darren Brander commands a solid menu of classic Italian dishes.
