There is better value around.
One of the worst meals I have had. The first wine I ordered was out of stock. I ordered water 3 times - the first 2 times I reminded the waiter after 15 minutes, the 3rd time I gave up. The waiters were pleasant enough, but forgetful. The garlic bread arrived reasonably quickly but the main meals were nearly an hour. My two companions' pastas were so greasy they couldn't finish them. My veal main was passable. There is better value around.

No complaints
We had dined here several times with no complaints - great food and service.

We then had one bad experience with a waiter's attitude to one of our party's medical condition which he misconstrued after having to chase them up for menus. After we complained the owner was very apologetic and couldn't do enough to make it up.

Every experience we have had there since has been fantastic. Again, great food and service. Waiters are always very friendly and attentive.

Attitude!
Just went here for lunch with work mates. First I was greeted by a horrible waitress with an attitude that was completely unneccesary. This was after waiting around in the entry for any of the other 4 or 5 staff to even glance in my direction.

After waiting a bit too long for our meals, mine didn't come at all. The same waitress who had the attitude at the door didn't even come back to tell me when my meal would arrive.

When it did come it was extremely disappointing for the price paid.

The same waitress then interrupted my colleague's speech to ask if anyone wanted coffee.

I will not be rushing back here.

Try somewhere else
In short, don't bother. The service is terrible, the timing poor and some of the waiters are way too cool to bother about giving good service.

Highlights from the night include:

-Waiter comes out with two wines and says, Two red wines that I can't remember what they are. We only ordered one wine and it would've been nice to confirm our choice.
-Main meal arrived a few minutes after bread (entree)
-No cutlery and meals cooled while waiting for waiter to return
-Offered parm cheese and meal cooled further while waiting for waiter to return
-Ordered glass of wine when main came out. It didn't arrive
-Waiter came to table with glass of white wine. It was for the table next to us
-Reminded the waiter during the main meal about the wine. Still didn't arrive
-Asked for bill and waited fifteen minutes but no bill
-Reminded waiter that we were still waiting on bill
-Bill came and included a charge for the red wine that we didn't get.

Interestingly, we were close enough to other tables to hear that weren't happy either.

I would usually give a bad place a second go but there were too many mistakes (and attitudes) here to bother. Try somewhere else.

Beware
Have dined in the restaurant numerous times, being a local and have come to the conclusion that I would get better satisfaction from McDonald's.
The waiting time to order averages 15-20 minutes. Our meals have taken from 45mins-1 hour to be served to our table.10 times we have eaten here and not once have they got our order correct. Twice they forgot to even cook our meals!!! Wrong sides with our order, meat rare when asked for well done.Salad bruised & wilted, was handed a take away order when seated. The meal sizes are ridiculous, I ordered a main of prawns & received 8 prawns in a bowl of oil!!
I have been continuously disappointed, I have approached management about my concerns and was not treated appropriately. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, this local is going elsewhere to eat.

Fantastic dinner
I took a friend here for dinner on a chilly May night and we were both very impressed.
I had the gnocchi (easily the best gnocchi I've ever had) with burnt butter and sage sauce. My friend who had the chicken and mushroom risotto said it was also excellent. Dessert was delicious.
The service was good also although the bill took a while to come.

Really enjoyed my meal and experience - looking forward to going back.

Best gnocchi I've ever had!
After Anzac Day services we decided to go for lunch. I had heard Tosolini's was good so we decided to give it a try.

It was packed! We were met and greeted by a very friendly member of staff. We waited at the bar for a few minutes, got a drink, and were then show to a table.

I chose the stuffed zucchini flowers, my partner had the antipasto platter. Both were an absolute taste sensation! Then mains: all beautifully timed. I had gnocchi, baked in cheese and tomato. Handmade (you could tell). It was so good I didn't want to share even a morsel with my partner! - but I did! She had the duck from the special board.

The waiter told me that the owner's mother comes in each morning to bake all the lasagne, cannoli, tiramisu (all the olde worlde Italian foods), and the head chef travels yearly to Europe to refresh himself and get re-inspired. You can sure tell!

I loved it. everyone in the restaurant was relaxed and happy. Such a pleasure finding a spot like that! I'll be back. Got my eye on that tiramisu (too full this time to try) and they also do catering so I grabbed a menu from the till. Maybe I'll surprise my better half with a cocktail party for our wedding anniversary?

You have to try this place!

It's going further downhill
It was a warm, humid night. The alfrecso seats might have been alright, but pushed up against the back wall inside (we had asked for an inside table assuming the airconditining would be working), the climate was uncomfortable.

Shown to our table and given our menu, we asked for some water whilst we waited for the waiter. The waiter came after ten minutes, sans water and took our order for meals and drinks - and a hurry-up on the water. Another then minutes, and the antipasto misto arrived - without the pre-dinner drinks - and still no water. After a further ten minutes, I went to the counter and got some water. The pre-dinner drinks arrived shortly thereafter.

Then came a long progression of waitpersons offering trays of drinks ordered by other tables - it seemed that there was no identification of which table should be getting what drinks.

The antipasto was quite acceptable, and very substantial. The mains which follow had been standing too long waiting to be delivered.

We'd had enough. The bill please. A further twenty minute wait, and still no bill. Stormed up to the counter, got lots of apologies and half-hearted offers of atonement. Suggested that they serve the couple at the table next to ours - they had been waiting for over an hour to place their meal order.

We won't go back.

Quite a disappointment
Had breakfast here this morning and was quite disappointed with the service and the quality of food. All hot drinks were delivered to the table lukewarm. My mains of eggs was only warm as well. The service was rough. I had a waitress reach across me to deliver a coffee, another waiter forgot an order and finally a wrong food order was delivered to our table. The restaurant wasn't overcrowded so I can't see that as being an excuse! Most disappointing!

Nothng can ever beat Tosolini's lamb shanks on the winter menu! Great food and fantastic atmosphere, especially when the wood fire is going in the colder months. Great service staff, excellent all round! Tosolinis is the venue of choice for lunch dates with my friends and work collegues.
