Not to be confused with the eponymous chocolates, this particular "top deck" refers to the upstairs balcony that looks out over Darling Street, the Harbour Bridge and Mort Bay. The fine views add to the laidback atmosphere all around, although you can be sure that there's plenty of effort put into the unique cross-cultural foods served here. One moment you're poring over a Welsh rarebit (a melted cheese toast infused with beer), the next a chicken tikka masala bagel, and if you've got some extra room, a gluten-free prune date raisin toast with coconut lime butter. Add an organic coffee or dairy-free smoothie and you've got a happy start - or finish - to the day.
