Following in the fine footsteps of the popular Japanese sake and tapas dens Toko Paddington and Toko Surry Hills, Tokonoma Shochu Bar & Lounge sits alongside its Paddington parent diner as a contemporary and cosy cocktail lounge and bar unto itself. The main focus here is the beverage list, which contains an astounding range of sake, cocktails and wines, as well as the lesser-known native Japanese, vodka-like tonic shochu infused in many of the cocktails, and available in varied fruity forms. For groups of eight or more, two canape menus are available so that everyone gets a chance to nibble on the likes of edamame, crispy fried squid, spicy tuna maki and white fish tempura.
