Of all the brekkie staples, the humble toast option seems the least exotic of the bunch, and surely not an item you'd imagine one would venture out to order. But perhaps that's the beauty of the so-named East Perth venue, which seems to have injected new vitality into the concept of exposing radiant heat to sliced bread.
Yes, there's plenty of toast at Toast. In fact, there's nothing humble about the toast at this gorgeous waterfront venue, with approximately 31 varieties on the menu and fillings so fancy the cafe clique are sure to feel right at home. Opt for some polenta toast with mushrooms, soft Italian cheese and fresh parsley, or perhaps an egg white omelette with roasted capsicum, cherry tomatoes, spinach, ricotta and pecorino on potato and parmesan toast.
There are also croissants, fruit breads, corn fritters, sweet and savoury crepes, top-notch Rubra coffee, fresh juices and much more.
When summer hits, you'll be scraping for a spot on the sun-drenched wicker chairs looking out over Claisebrook Cove.
