Tigerbakers is a definite locals' cafe - the kind of place where people go to sit at their usual table and contemplate the art on the walls and the fragile crema on their first espresso of the day. Painted a moody aubergine, Tigerbakers is littered with the trappings of a comfy local coffee lounge: old-fashioned leather couches, furry cushions, stacked newspapers and a hodge-podge of retro furnishings. The walls are an ever-changing exhibition space for pop art pieces by local artists, meaning that even regulars will always have something new to look at. Aside from the excellent coffee, the cafe offers an attractive spread of casual fare and big breakfasts from the kitchen. Save room for dessert, as there is a tempting range of tarts and a brulee for the sweet of tooth.

Such a good cafe for my Sunday hangover, with a stylish service and old school music. My favourite is the famous croque madame. If you are looking for a funky cafe with excellent breakfast and brunch, do not miss Tigerbakers.

Great place. Coming from France and being on holiday in Australia, we were very pleased to discover such a pleasant place. The food is exellent, I strongly recommend it: good value for money and very good service.
