Bursting onto the Adelaide dining scene in late 2008, the Village Indian Restaurant has vivaciously brought together top-class curries from different parts of India, outstanding local South Australian produce, fine local and international wines, and a plush setting that seems far away from the hustle and bustle of Gouger Street.
Taking over the spot of former French haunt La Guillotine, the Village is now a classy dining room enlivened by warm red and ochre hues, spilling out onto intimate balcony and courtyard areas suitable for private dining. Former Indian Brasserie chef Bishnu Kharel is the culinary master of ceremonies, hosting a journey through Indian provinces from Delhi to Kerala and back. One of his key specialties is the whole tandoori duck from Kerala, while the Moreton Bay bug masala is also popular. There are plenty of other Indian favourites from chicken tikka to vegetable kathi rolls that are also worth a try.

very enjoyable
Although there are lots & lots of Indian restaurants in Adelaide, I must admit this is one of my favourite.
Service exeptionally good and fairly quick. The manage - very attentive without being intrusive & the food - good quality
Will be back - thats for sure
