In the western Mandurah coastal suburb of Halls Head, the Tap Bar offers something unique for holiday-makers and locals who would be normally starved of Spanish tapas. It's also a novelty since it's a small bar in the vein of Perth's recent flowering of little boutique nooks, where equal attention is paid to the food, drink and atmosphere. Taking its influences from across the Mediterranean, the Tap Bar dabbles in tapas classics like prawns and grilled chorizo, pan-fried haloumi, and Moroccan lamb, washed down with a Spanish-style jug of sangria. The house Spanish paella is one of the larger items on the menu, made for sharing between two.
