While Sultan's Table does a roaring trade as a Turkish takeaway joint, there is also plenty of room to sit down and savour the various dishes that go beyond the usual pide or kebab. On a warm night, diners can settle in the courtyard and sample the various dips on offer, delve into the traditional stews or just stick with that old faithful - a big kebab.

good food, poor service
Went to dinner with friends to The Sultans Table, Had been there once before on a quiet night, was very good and the service was pretty good and quick, though try and go on a busy weekend night and you can expect to be waiting quite a while for anything you order.. We were all waiting for around 45 mins for our meals, we were so hungry we kept ordering the garlic bread which seemed to come straight away, along with dips.. The food was really good, though i won't be going again on a weekend night..We also had to book a week in advance for the night we were there..

Great Turkish food at the Sultan's Table
I have dined at the Sultan's Table many times, and I have to strongly disagree with the comments from 'lizliz'. The food is always excellent, and the staff, in my experience, have always been friendly and helpful.
Sultan's Table is an excellent Turkish restaurant which doesn't pretend to be something it's not. I have taken a number of friends there, and never felt embarrassed by the experience.

Great Takeaway Turkish
Fresh, delish vege food. O.K, the service can be a little slow at times, however, I'm always happy with the quality of their food.

Terribly slow
While the food was enjoyable I didn't expect to have our food start arriving 50 minutes after ordering. When I say start, I mean that the first person received their meal and 10 minutes later the other meals arrived. At the same time takeaway customers were recieving their meals in 10 minutes maximum. The staff also appeared to see nothing wrong with this situation and were not at all apologetic. I was embarrassed to have taken visitors to Sydney to this restaurant. They had to leave before finishing their meal to make their flight. I will never go back.
