Bondi's cool new spot, the Beaver taps into the American diner craze that's been hitting all over the city of late. The food is all fish tacos, wings and banana splits, as well as the formidable Canadian dish of poutine (fries, gravy and cheese), so it's only appropriate that you should wash it down with a Miller or a longneck of Little Creatures. If you're so inclined, a range of decidedly more upmarket cocktails are on offer, too. The vibe is chilled-out Bondi at its best - unpretentious and laidback - and the folks are friendly enough to make you feel inclined to stay on for a few more drinks on a summer night before stumbling home.
