Those who think that nothing good can come out of war are yet to visit the South Australian Company Store. Set in two refurbished army barracks, it's all charming wooden floors and swinging doors. The veranda skirting its exterior provides wonderful views of the lawns, orchids and hills, and inside there's a shop selling a range of gourmet delights and other gifts. The food itself is varied, including lamb shanks, salt and pepper mango king prawns, Thai chicken salad and gourmet pizza.
