The section of Dickson fast becoming known as Canberra's Chinatown hosts the Scholar, which holds its own against some of the best Chinese eateries.
Perched unassumingly above street level on Woolley Street, the Scholar boasts a cavernous dining room that seats several hundred people, and live seafood tanks near the entrance. It's just as well the Scholar can cater to so many, as both the live seafood and daily yum cha make it one of the more popular Chinese eateries in this part of town. Given its location in the centre of Canberra's Chinese district, the Scholar is a top contender for the state's best Asian diner.
