This gorgeous, little cafe in Benedict House, a former girls boarding school and convent in Queanbeyan, is fast becoming a popular spot with locals for lunch and afternoon tea. Indoors, the Victorian building is a nice setting for lunch in winter, while a pretty garden makes for a lovely spot to linger all afternoon on sunny days. Owner Kate Shelton supplies the kitchen with veggies from her own garden, and the emphasis is on fresh, local food made from scratch. High tea is held monthly, and with petits fours, glasses of sparkling, tablecloths and tiered plates, it's exactly what you'd hope for.
