The name's a bit cheeky, but you've got to love any place that's named after a donkey (though there's yet to be an 'Eeyore' restaurant to my knowledge). Since its colourful debut in 2000, The Red Ass has carved out a local reputation for its red-hot mix of Indian and Thai cuisines, which have much more in common than you might initially expect, given their strong emphases on spices and curries. From Indian fish curry to Thai red prawn curry to chicken laksa, the menu here is diverse without being overworked, and luckily for coeliacs and vegetarians, there's no shortage of foods to suit these dietary needs.

Fabulous Food & Brilliantly Run
The food is an easy reason for us to keep returning however it should also be mentioned that the manager is just lovely and really looks after his patrons. The hospitality is very attentive and stands out here compared to other restaurants in Semapore.
The menu is great and the staff don't rush you from one course to the next. This would be our favourite place along this strip and I'm looking forward to our next visit there.
