Company event - 7.15am
We had a company event, which usually means being served masses of bulk food. The quality of the fruit selection and brioches was fantastic. The tea served was weak but then it was rather early for everyone involved. I can't make a cup of tea either. The service was discrete and continous until the speaking event finished at 9.45am. Couldn't have asked for better hotel catering, san the strength of the cup of tea. Cheers!

Overpriced, but a nice impressive meal for visitors to Canberra
Nestled within the historic Hyatt Hotel in Canberr is the Promenade Cafe. It does the usual hotel buffet spreads for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a buffet afternoon tea. I have dined here for breakfast with visitors to Canberra - it was what you would expect of a good hotel breakfast buffet, and impressed travellers from out of town. The service was efficient and friendly. Overall, however, not the best value for money. And, like most hotel buffets, it's not a regular hang-out or dining spot! I've also tried the buffet afternoon tea, which was particularly bad value for money. They do have amazing looking treats, though, and a nice comfortable lounging area. So might be worth a try.
