The ponycat is "a mythical half bunyip, half kangaroo creature with the lightning reflexes of an emu which scours the outback looking for jolly swagmen to prey on"; sounds like one weird cat indeed. It's also Brisbane's new cool kid on the cafe block, and mercifully, it's harmless and won't bite. In fact, it encourages visitors, what with its friendly vibe, winning Bucket Coffee, solid breakfast and lunch fare, and some killer mocktails, including the already legendary apple and almond mock mojito. Get on down and cosy up to New Farm's newest monster animal - it'll be your favourite freak of nature in no time.
