It would be very handy to have a place like this next door - you could pop in any time for a satisfying meal, and even bring your pug or poodle along. This particular place is next door to the Feathers Hotel, where the Burnside (and beyond) coffee and cake set have turned the large balcony into a popular meeting spot. Years ago these same customers probably filled their cars with fuel here, as the site once housed a petrol station. Now customers swing by for their bellies to be serviced rather than their BMWs.
Regardless of whether they are parked outside or inside in the casual airy dining room, burger hounds will pounce on the 'TPND Burger', with a prime beef patty that's not to be sniffed at. Beyond burgers, there are quality dishes such as the stuffed chicken breast, plumped with Camembert and wrapped in prosciutto, an asparagus sauce extending the creaminess of the cheese filling.
Dining duos have a good excuse to order the Caesar salad with prosciutto to share on the side. Alternately, grilled lamb on a Greek salad with lemon vinaigrette serves as a main in itself. Finish with mouthfuls of golden Andronicus coffee to keep the Greek Gods happy.
