Another venue championing the cause of small bars in Sydney, this one offers contemporary tapas-style fare matched perfectly to the extensive and sophisticated beverage list. The first thing that greets you here, funnily enough, is the signage - for a different bar. The old L'Otel sign still fronts the entrance and has been painted over rather than removed - a tip of the cap by Passage to its predecessor.
That's where the similarities end, however, with a whole new fit-out and feel to this chic small bar. The narrow space now consists of communal marble tables bathed in intimate candlelight. The tapas menu offers a versatile range of tasting dishes, from a light serve of marinated olives to the scale-tipping twice-cooked pork belly with corn puree and black bean vinaigrette.
