The red walls of The Park Hotel's tiny dining room protect it from the clamour of the bar and beer garden, so that when you come to the pub for lunch you can enjoy your beer-battered flake fillets in perfect tranquillity. For a heavier meal, look out for porterhouse or the lamb shanks in rosemary and red wine sauce (the hallowed choice of many a loyal patron). The Park isn't shy about dishing up real pub grub either; chicken schnitzel and chicken parma are listed proudly on the blackboard. When it comes to dessert, The Park pulls out some gastronomic treats; they do a plate of local cheeses, the naughtiest rich dark chocolate brownies, and an apple and quince dish that will have you fighting off your friend's forks.

Good food and good service
It's a simple menu but with all the pub choices you would expect. I have eaten here many times and have never been disapointed. Staff are always happy, make you feel welcome and my steak was cooked to perfection. More importantly, they do an excellent parma!
