Half price lunches
Once again I visited the Oxford Hotel and again greeted with smiles. Upon ordering lunch which was a chicken parmagiana (because it was so great last time) I was surprised to be told it was half price for lunch only. I had a great meal for half the price, thank you The Oxford Hotel.

A group of friends and the Ox
After recently reading the Rip it up Guide, we read that the Oxford was recommended for schnitzels. So myself and a group of friend went to try them for ourselves. Upon arrival, the waitresses were quite pleasant, and showed us to a tabe, and we were informed of their new menu. The dining room is a nice size and i really loved the paintings on the walls.. Also like the open kitchen. We sat behind the kitchen and was good to look in there and see what the chefs were doing. when ordering our meals, a few of us had the chicken Parmigianas, another had the Flathead, the Prawn Curry. When the meals arrived (quite promptly as well) the size of the meals were really good. I really loved the ox fries, and the parmi was to die for. The nap sauce was so tasty and delicious, and it wasn't drowned in excess cheese which is what i am use to. The flathead looked great and was told it was "scrumptious", as were the prawns. We also had the choc pudding too, well simply YUM is the only way to describe it. Overall we all love the Oxford. The meals were sensational..

Nice food
I recently dined at the Oxford Hotel after being recomended by friends. The greeting of staff was very friendly. My friends and I all ordered chicken parmigianas. The quality was fantastic. There was a small fresh salad and round fries served with them. We loved our meals and will reguarly return there.

Chicken schnitzel with parmigiana
After a recommendation of a friend I decided to dine for one at the Oxford on a Friday evening. I was greeted by the staff with enthusiasm, and was shown the menu. I was told to sit where I wish, and take the number with me to the table (standard practice). The meal was $19 with an extra $4 for a small drink, and I was quite excited to receive the meal. The meal arrived within 10 minutes and looked quite delicious. The potato chips were most definitely the visual highlight of the dish, cut circular and quite crisp looking. I began to eat a few and my pallet was pleasantly satisfied. As the chips began to diminish, the true size of the schnitzel began to surface - it was pitiful. It was of average flavour and texture but adequate. By far the worst aspect of the meal was the salad - bland and with a terrible tasting dressing. The tomato slices were of poor quality, and only one small slither of onion was part of the salad. I would not recommend the schnitzel parmigiana at the Oxford. The drink was alright.
