This corner of Darlinghurst may not be exactly wanting for niche wine bars, but when another great venue opens just around the corner no one will be complaining.
The Owl House is the latest addition to one of Sydney's trendier postcodes, thanks to the new NSW liquor laws, and joins the likes of Love Tilly Devine around the corner and Pocket Bar a little further up the street. The inspiration is an intimate New York City-style affair, with exposed brick walls and vintage knickknacks defining most of the space. Throw in a short sharp menu of re-imagined tapas classics and this place might just turn out to be a blast (no, not a hoot ... Never.)
