Standing as a monument to the small molluscs of Shark Bay's Hamlin Pool, The Old Pearler claims to be the only restaurant in the world to be built almost entirely of shells. Put your ear up close to the walls and you'll even hear the sea - it's only metres away across the road. However, this waterside restaurant isn't just a shell. The walls are adorned with fascinating artefacts from the early days in Shark Bay, including tackle from the vessels 'Will Succeed' and 'Success'. Furthermore, the tables and settles are made from timber salvaged from the old Peron Station shearers' quarters.
Once you've had time to admire the myriad memorabilia, turn your attention to the menu, which showcases the very best local seafood, good old-fashioned Aussie tucker and a heavenly homemade dessert selection. Owner/chef Wayne Viney has spent many years polishing his pudding-making skills, and it shows in all his sweet sensations, from the delectably deep lemon meringue pie, to the wickedly rich chocolate caramel fudge cake. So be sure to leave a little room, even if you indulge in the sizeable seafood platter of fresh local crayfish, grilled snapper and whiting fillets, natural oysters, oysters Kilpatrick, grilled prawns, chilli squid and crab.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this restaurant. The Chilli Squid is 'To die for'!
Definitely recommend this be added to everyone's itinerary whilst visiting Denham.
