Housed in the industrial-chic surrounds of the cavernous North Sydney Cellars, this venue defies stereotype. Part enoteca, part cucina with some wine bar thrown in, it's a jumble of different styles that come together to work seamlessly.
The bottle shop setting definitely has its advantages, namely a myriad of different drops to sample, and the quartino serves make sharing that much easier. Despite the Italian overtones the menu is mostly mod-Oz with an abundance of snacks to accompany a nice vino. The slow-baked pork belly on Paris mash with sticky pear is readily available for those wanting something more substantial, but a pressed pork, chicken and pistachio terrine is just as satisfying for those after a smaller nosh.
