With its minimal decor and long wooden benches, the Mess Hall does little, at first glance, to dispel the images of army dining conjured up by the name. It's only when you look around that you see the quirky, ironic accents, while the food offers more intense flavour in one bite than in a hundred army meals.

What Salad?!?!
I was out for lunch today with some collegues and ordered the caprese salad, which had three pieces of tomato and four pieces of buffalo mozzarella on the plate, this cost me $17.50, i hardly call this substantial for a lunch meal, furthermore the waitress we had was very slow at attending our table, we had no water and had to continuously ask for some. Over all i felt the cost of a basic salad was extremely over priced and i will not be returning. Its a true shame as a regular customer, but this has not been the first time this has happened.

Charmed
Came by for an early dinner with my friend. Love the casual atmosphere and the decor, really relaxed. Food was simple and delicious, my friend ordered the risotto and got a very generous serving. Staff are also lovely and friendly. Recommended.

Brilliant
Dropped in not long before closing. No problems. Food was great and the staff excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
