Espresso-heads follow their noses to the Maling Room, where the long blacks, cappuccinos and single-origin coffees reign supreme. Indeed, the baristas and Synesso coffee machines get a lot of respect at this boutique roastery and cafe. Lodged in a bright, corner building with stained-glass windows, the Maling Room reels them in with its ever-changing roster of international coffees being freshly roasted for your drinking pleasure.
On the breakfast front, you'll find the traditional (eggs benedict, homemade banana bread) and the unique (organic strawberry muesli, Indian-spiced scrambled eggs). For lunch, it's all about baguettes, pita breads, Turkish breads, melts, salads, quiches and platters (accompanied by an obligatory coffee or tea).
