In that cool 'milk crate' sort of way, the Little Larder will be able to satisfy any brekkie or lunch craving you may have. You can create your own little feast by selecting a series of side orders. According to their regulars, the coffee's pretty great too.

top spot for mid-week breakfast
Little larder im my opinion is a the best breakfast spot in the new farm. The breakfast menu is original which with excellent combinations of flavour, there are plenty of fresh juice combos to choose from or u can create your own. The staff are always friendly and accomodating.
The only downside is the parking and the popularity on the weekends as it is a smallish space.
I would recommend the pesto scrambled eggs with smoked salmon! but anything off the menu is delicious!!!

A little mixed
This place has served me well for many-a-breakfast and lunch. I have always loved their BLT with avocado on gluten-free bread for lunch and their 'the lot' vegetarian version for breakfast (beans, haloumi, hash browns, mushies, tomato-onion relish). Their soy lattes are always great.
But a number of things are letting them down. My husband finds their eggs benedict consistently have too much vingear in them, though. A friend has said the same thing. Also of concern, I fear they have fallen prey to "we are so popular now, we don't need to care".
We booked on a Saturday morning, got caught in the worst traffic (road works and a city march meant that we couldn't get there! We tried this street, then that street, and so on). We rang to say we were running late and asked if they would hold our table. Yes, they told us, they'd hold it. We got there 15 mins later, and there was no table. They had given it away. When asked, how, why? They blamed us. They said we rang too late. But if so, why did they tell us on the phone, no problem? Also, they had our mobile number with the booking, so why not call us to tell us of the error in their advice?
If your cafe is consistently busy... put more staff on! It is NEVER the customer's fault if you are busy and can't manage that busyness due to your OWN (or your manager's) decisions regarding staffing. To respond this way is not only inappropriate but at odds with the principles of hospitality. At least apologise! I'm terribly sorry, but we had a mix-up and gave your table away would have gone down much better.
Furthermore, why take a phone number from a customer if you never plan to use it?
Don't get too big for your boots. Remember the customers that built that success. And remember that success isn't always guaranteed... you need to keep the quality of service and food going to ensure it.

We'll be back
Lamb curry pies with chilli jam popular with the boys and I loved the vege delight. Fresh fruit juice and coffee meant I couldn't fit in dessert but they looked good. We'll be back!

It still holds up
The coffee here still holds up as one of the best made and most consistant in New Farm. It's been like this for years and it's good to see a place where they continue to put emphasis on a well made espresso! Shame the cakes look like my little sister made them. Not consistant in size from one slice to the next.

What's happened....
Little Larder used to be our favourite breakfast place. But our recent visit was very disappointing. Warm bread, not toast; small serves of our favourite beans and savoury mince. Just not the usual taste sensation Little Larder usually delivers. We'll give it one more try just to be sure, but sadly it seems a good thing does not last for ever.

Stick to the bacon and eggs
I came to The Little Larder very early one Saturday to get in a bit of study. Within half an hour of opening it was swamped with patrons and people were queueing in the rain (yes rain, in Brisbane) to get in. People around me were receiving plates of delicious looking breakfast dishes and I eagerly anticipated their 'famous' mince-on-toast. I was bitterly disappointed. It was pretty to look at but had been placed on barely-toasted very light white toast which had turned to mush under the wet mince. The mince mixture itself tasted like it had been cooked in tomato ketchup. I would like to go back to this place for brekky one day because the people around me all seemed very happy with their appetising-looking meals.

The chef really understands his love of food and giving the customer a meal that tastes and looks great and feels really homemade. The coffee is beautifully made with full respect for the art of it.
