The Kennedy Room

Somewhere between a chic boutique booze bar and a warm semi-outdoor diner, the Kennedy Room is a cosmopolitan venue that's fit for the kings and queens of Kingston. Run by Dimitri Eliopoulos (the former owner of B Bar) and Nick Carter (formerly from Anise), this modern space encompasses sit-down areas inside and outside, as well as plenty of room for bar crawlers and lounge dwellers. The food menus cover different styles of dining, from shareable tapas and pizzas to a filling range of mains including risotto, pork belly, steak sandwich, calamari and much more.

More of a bar than a restaurant
On a Tuesday night even with a less than half full bar & eating area, my friend and I waited for over an hour before receiving our meals! Only after getting up and finding a waiter was I told that it was coming now. I ordered the confit duck and was surprised to get two legs instead of the usual one, but unfortunately the excitement ended there as both were terribly dry. I would hate to see what it would be like on a busy night. Maybe stick to the Tapas and drinks.

a very nice little spot
I wanted to take my mother out with some friends for her birthday. We found this little place in Kingston and stopped in for afternoon tea. It was quite nice inside. As it was so quiet, my (elderly) mother was able to be part of the conversation more. It was nice to have the place almost to ourselves so we could get the attention of the waiter.
The coffee was a liitle bitter, but with enough milk, we didn't mind. It will be nice to go back with some girlfriends of my own some time.

The Kennedy Room - 5 stars!
Love this place so much that I go back every weekend. The Kennedy Room has a fantastic selection of local and imported beer that are always cold!

I have never been able to fault their service, the staff went above and beyond my expectations to cater for my Guests. If you are a looking for a casual yet sophisticated environment then this is the place for you.

Regarding the food, for a casual meal you can't go past the pizzas! One word for them... AMAZING! The tapas are great for a group, love the calamari. For a more a la carte dining experience I would recommend the pork belly not fatty at all with lovely crispy crackling.

The d?cor is fantastic, high exposed beam ceilings, giving the venue an open and spacious feeling. Polished concrete flooring and a huge beautiful marble bar no waiting necessary at this bar it is seriously that big. There are 4 separate sections, dinning, bar, lounge and outdoors. The space is large enough that there is something to suit everyone, and the separate spaces are small enough to still be intimate and cosy without over crowding. I love the lighting and the fact that the place has obviously been designed with quality furniture and d?cor! Once again this place exudes quality.

The bar has a fantastic wine, beer and cocktail lists, with many boutique varieties that you won t find in other bars. They also have the locals available. The service is efficient and effective and I have never experienced any issues.

The Kennedy Room has a ambience of quality as well as serving nothing but the best. I would highly recommend you visit this venue.
