A "trans-fat free pie zone" and award-winning bakery, according to the signs proudly proclaiming its many credentials, this 24-hour bakery is a local institution, and offers some of the best pies around. The green peppercorn steak pie, and bacon, cheese and beef pie (more of a quiche with a thin layer of beef mince at the bottom) are particular favourites, and the bakery also serves as a cafe, offering killer coffees and sweet pastries, cakes and biscuits. No wonder the diehards travel from all over Sydney for this one.
