Don't let the name put you off. This modestly named gastro-pub offers modern fare that is so much more than the deep-fried trucker's refuel that the name might suggest.
A flash renovation a few years back has gone a long way to rebranding the old Highway, with sleek lines, an outdoor deck and a clean and inviting indoor bistro area. The menu now caters to all types with a split menu that would present a daunting task to lesser chefs. Head chef Matt Fuller switches seamlessly between calling away a classic pub grub beef burger and a haute cuisine beef cheek curry.
