The Haus

Taking its cue from the rich Prussian history of its location, the latest addition to Hahndorf's dining scene offers a casual cafe, sleek bar and intimate restaurant. The Haus brings something new to its locale by featuring an extensive tapas-style menu to go along with artisan pizzas made from fresh local produce. The decor has a contemporary feel that contrasts well with the rustic charms of the historic town it inhabits.

best place in Hahndorf
Great ambiance, excellent service, food was delicious.
Only criticsm is with the Tapas, there was 4 of us but some plates only had 3 items, which meant one person had to miss out. But have alerted owners, who were happy to take on board our comments. At last a great place to meet in the hills. We will go back quite often. Please don't tell too many people!

What a let down
Went last night with a group of girlfriends before the movies. The waitress was inattentive, unhelpful and surly. she started putting plates out, but got too hard so left it for us to do. we said we were ready to order and she walked off for another 15mins. it took over an hour for the pizzas to come out, even though we asked them to check several times. The pizzas were overcooked, undercooked and a bad blend of flavours. we didn't try the other food but overall extremely pricey for a disappointing meal. as locals we won't be back in hurry!!
