Despite the far-out name, Groove Train is less interested in mung beans than coffee beans and is populated less with free-loving hippies than with stylish Melburnians. It is a successful combination that has seen several Groove Train cafes pop up across the Melbourne region.
The menu will be familiar to fans of the South Melbourne and Richmond Groove Trains, boasting the same dizzyingly long list of brekkie classics, nachos and other nibbles, warm salads and woodfired pizzas. The extensive list of main courses ranges from Aussie favourites such as fish and chips or a steak sandwich to a Thai seafood curry.
