While its psychedelic name may evoke images of bold, hyper-coloured flowers and swingin' blondes in bellbottoms, this restaurant's actual appearance couldn't be more different. The dark interior and chunky leather lounges instantly dismiss any hippie fantasies, while the wooden dining area cries 'comfy corporate hangout' more than 'peace, love and harmony'. In fact, apart from the host of iconic images lining the walls, the only sign of 'groove' is in the menu, where items like the burger, the lamb or chicken souvlaki and even the green Thai curry are prefixed with the title of 'groovy'. Then again, if you've just come for the warm cous cous salads, tasty woodfired pizzas, pastas and risottos maybe you don't need that extra groove after all.
