We stayed for hours...
It was father's day and with a Greek family we all, as always, ate well and did it loudly! The place was bustling with people, they had a belly dancer come in for some entertainment and the food is not done by halves! (And neither should it be if it's going to be traditionally Greek!) The mix grill is delicious and HUGE, the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. A great place to eat as a group and you never feel rushed to hurry and leave.

Good place to share food
Very much a share-a-plate type of place on busy Gouger St.
Two lists of mezzes at either $10.90 or $14.90 and then selection of mains. Lots of seafood. Vegetarian options limited to mezzes. We had main size octopus (3 tentacles), main size kalamari (succulent), mezze fried cheese, zuchini and fetta kroquettes (yum) and (1) stuffed capsicum plus a Greek salad for 3 adults plus dessert.
The mezze are entree size (and questionably so was the 'main' octopus) so you do need to select a few dishes. Three persons, one round drinks with dessert and coffee was $130. Best enjoyed with a few people so you can select a range to enjoy, Very quick and friendly service.

The Greek Mezze
My husband and I left our son at my parents and went to the Greek Mezze on a 'date'. We had looked it up on this site first and decided to give it a go. Well, it was fantastic. The service was great and the food came out at a good pace where we weren't rushed but weren't left wondering where it got to either. Entrees were fresh and tasty and my husband loved his main of baby goat. I had a beautiful open yiros and didn't even look at the dessert menu because I was so full. We really enjoyed the belly dancer who added to the fun atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

Getting better
I tried The Greek Mezze when it first opened and was unimpressed as the service was unorganised and the food was ok. Went for lunch on a Saturday recently and have revised my opinion. It wasn't busy so we had very attentive service and good recommendations were made for dips and mezze. The house special dip with roasted capsicum and fetta was amazing and the other classics (taramasolata, beetroot) were both fresh and tasty. Mouthwatering calamari, spanakopita and meatballs were sufficient for lunch for three of us and the traditional Mythos beer washed it all down beautifully! Will definitely return again.

The Greek Mezze
Umming and Arring along Gouger Street Adelaide, we happened upon The Greek Mezze and decided to pop in for a snack. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the whole establishment. Delightful surrounds and welcome by the staff was great. (The walk to the toilets is a pleasant surprise!!!) Meals were divine, having had three small dishes (well, what we thought were going to be small) and the famous goat stew, we were stonkered. Absolute value for money. Will definitely return to The Greek Mezze when in Adelaide next.
