The bistro at this modern, relaxed pub offers unpretentious, fresh meals popular with families, young'uns and seniors (for whom there are dedicated specials). The pan-fried Atlantic salmon is parmesan crusted, topped with a creamy saffron sauce and served on a bed of baked chat potatoes and green beans, but there are also more old-fashioned favourites like the seafood basket and chicken parmagiana. Sunday night is steak night, and Barra-Monday has many locals popping in for a quiet and quick meal of barramundi, chips and salad in favour of cooking on Monday nights.
