The Flying Knife is a cut above your regular cafe, you could even call it a "ripper" (but definitely not a "tearaway"). Situated next to an historic former marine signalling station on the shores of Semaphore, this casual eatery dabbles in straightforward comfort foods that mix modern Australian and Mediterranean styles. The signature Flying Knife dish is the rousing claypot of prawns, black mussels, crab meat, risoni, chorizo, and tomato, served in a saffron bouillabaisse with wilted bok choy. But you can also dig into a juicy steak or blue swimmer crab pasta to satisfy a craving.
