This tiny nook of a cafe is the perfect example of just how good "no frills" can be. There are no bells and whistles here, just stellar coffee and mouth-watering pastries.
Kiwi-born owner and barista Ben Whitaker exudes an affable charisma from behind his La Marzocco, dedicating as much effort to making each customer feel special as he does to extracting the perfect shot of espresso. Coffee accompaniments are courtesy of Ben's pastry chef sister Angie and can range from a nostalgia-inducing Anzac biscuit to an aptly named Citrus Love.
A cute fitout ties everything together at the Final Step, replete with quaint trinkets, knickknacks and even a vintage upright piano to accompany the hiss of the coffee machine.
