Families with young kids get the best out of The Elwood Beach House, providing a peaceful refuge for parents having a chill-out cuppa outside while the littlies romp in the playground and wide grassy patches that lead onto Elwood Beach. Indeed, the bayside backdrop is a stunning attraction, viewable from all angles inside the windowed cafe shack. Classic wooden floors and large comfy wicker lounges invite diners to make themselves at home while picking from a varied modern Australian menu, which features kid's options, and plenty for coeliacs and vegetarians. In the morning, you can get pancakes or eggs Benedict if you please, but things really get exciting at lunch and dinner with dishes like the goat's cheese, spinach, red onion and pine nut tartlet, and the marinated and seared lamb rump with roasted vegies, red wine and rosemary jus.
