This classic British pub is tucked away down a pedestrian street off bustling Rundle Street and has the cosy look and feel of a quiet watering hole in the English countryside. The pub is serious about its "no pokies" rule, which means there's a distinct lack of ringing in your ears as you're enjoying a meal here - all you can hear is the quiet tinkering of friends sharing a meal and the sound of the golden, sparkling ale flowing from the tap. The meals are classic pub grub and almost as English as its surrounds, with a full English breakfast, beef and Guinness hotpot, and the Henry VIII - a chargrilled King Henry pork cutlet served with green garden vegetables, mash and homemade apple sauce.
