Despite the name, this place is not really a deli at all. In fact, there's nary a coke fridge or chiko-roll-filled bain-maire in sight. And you can't even buy newspapers or bags of mixed lollies here, so what, you may ask, is the point of this joint?
Cast aside your cynicism; this place is so much more than a deli that you'll be ashamed of yourself for ever doubting it. Part cafe, part restaurant, part bar, part live music venue, The Deli serves up pizzas and burgers that have the cool young Hindmarsh-dwellers in here day after day, night after night. When you're done with the grub you may as well stay on for the DJ set, band, drinks, coffee or whatever is up next on the running sheet and see what the fuss is about.
