This long-staying Greek restaurant is particularly proud of their clay pot dishes (lamb, fish, seafood and veal) and also their nicely priced Greek wine. On the main strip of Gordon, The Claypot sits in its own traditional Greek universe, offering a tidy and peaceful a la carte setting. The entrees are also worth a spin, with authentic tastes including the dips with pita bread, the fried prawns and the barbecued octopus.

Gordon/Pymble is still starved for quality restaurants. The Claypot food was hearty winter fare but the table service and atmosphere remain substandard. We tried the lamb shanks and beef claypots which were fine if unspectacular. The specialty prawn entree was the highlight. Pricing was reasonable. This remains an 'occasional' restaurant on our North Shore list.
