In Shanghai, the Bund is a stately street of old colonial-era buildings, and was once the financial centre of the Far East. That experience of Chinese grandeur is brought to Tassie with this authentic Chinese restaurant. This eatery sits in a dimly lit and charming little cottage, with candles and white linen tablecloths providing an inviting and homely atmosphere. The menu presents all the expected favourites such as the popular Peking duck dish, as well as a crowd-pleasing plate of sour pepper prawns. If that's a little too peppery for you, wash it down with a glass of red from the wine list.

Worth a try
My first dining experience was not long after eating at another popular Chinese restaurant that had been getting rave reviews by many. I was so pleased! Food was good if not better than the other Sandy Bay rival. Flavours were different for each dish (which can be often lost with cornflour sauces) and portions were fair.
Service was attentive but sometimes lost in translation.
All in all worth a try. I'll be back for sure.
