Situated a good kilometre and a half from the Canning Bridge, it begs the question why this corner restaurant calls itself the Bridge Cafe. One look at the menu however, provides the answer. Bridging eastern and western cuisines, passionate and talented chef/owner Benny Suwarno has created his very own brand of Asian fusion food that spans everything from fragrant green and red curries and clean-flavoured stir-fries, to mouth-watering marinated meat dishes. The fillet steak is a classic example - marinated with shallots, soy and sake, laid on a bed of garlic chive mash and baby bok choy, topped with parsnip spears and accompanied by fried garlic chips. He's also a stickler for detail when it comes to presentation - the restaurant has a clean, contemporary look and every dish from the ever-changing menu is a work of art. If you'd care to sample a wider selection of Benny's unique creations, keep an eye open for the degustation menu - a six-course tasting menu of gourmet delights.

Excelllent is what I say....
Wife Jan and I went to The Bridge Cafe last night and had a superlative meal. The Cafe was a bit noisy because of three groups of 8 or 9, but that was overshaowed by the great food and very good service. The meals were cooked to excellence. Jan had Salmon and Prawns, they were large and crisp. I had Chicken and asked for some Tiger Prawns to be added. Fantastic food. The desserts were the added touch and her Chocolate Brownies and my Sticky Date Pudding were exquisite, light, soft and moist. I wold recommend this cafe in a flash, but give a small warning. If you go there on a Saturday night, be aware of the more than normal noise.

One of the best restaurants in Perth
This restaurant can only be described as excellent. We shared the entre plate for two which was perfect. My husband had the lamb shank in puff pastry and is still talking about it. I had the pork ribs and they would be the best I've ever had. Go there, you won't be disappointed. We are definetely going back.

Fantastic food, fantastic service...!
We have been here on several occasions and have never been disappointed!
Such amazing food. The menu is comprehensive and descriptive, offering a selection of fish and seafoods, chicken and red meats. There is something to please everyone here! The presentation is outstanding too. I ordered a champagne jelly which nearly broke my heart to destroy and eat; but when I did- Wow! I was even asked by the chef if I liked it, as it was an ongoing experiment.
The staff are hospitable, helpful and very warm.
I would definately recommend a visit or two to The Bridge. I plan on returning, again and again!

Amazing food
We were visiting Perth from Queensland, and friends took us to this restaurant and I would have to say it was one of my best dining experiences ever. The staff were extremely friendy and the food was delicious. I especially recommend you try their Thai red curry fish balls with a crispy noodle coating. These are so good and I am not usually a fan of fish balls. Wishing they could open a restuarant in Brisbane! Was definitely a highlight of our trip to WA.

How Good Can Service Get?
Finally got around to The Bridge and the only question is why did we wait so long? Lovely modern Asian-style menu and very reasonably priced. Can't recommend the Crab Balls as an entree enough, just divine. The spring rolls were tasty and not at all oily: lip-smackingly fresh. Salmon for the wife was quite good but the highlight for me was the slow-cooked beef rib, just couldn't get enough of what was a substantial serve. Fresh flavours with a distinct Asian influence, wonderful. The food highlight for Deb was the banana pudding - it came recommended by our waiter who told her you'll love it or it's free!!!! Love it she did, bursting with fresh fruit flavours and as light as a feather you just got to order this. The definite highlight, despite the excellent food, was the service. Just exceptional: friendly, attentive, nothing too much trouble and just the general feeling that you were an honoured guest. The best service we have ever had in Perth and rivalling some of the best from Melbourne. Do this place, you won't be disappointed.

Mr P
My wife and I had one of the best meals here that we've had in a long time.
I had a red fish curry, which had just the right amount of bite with plenty of fresh fish pieces. My wife had the marinated steak which I tried and was simply stunning. To finish we shared a sticky date pudding which was light and moist. I would strongly reccomend this place!
