Dedicated beer houses are popping up faster than the bubbles in a pot of lager. The Brewhouse is, yes, a microbrewery and it creates the atmosphere of a traditional German beer hall in the heart of Brisbane. Entry is up a large, steep staircase, which leads to a massive warehouse-style venue with high ceilings, timber tables and a timber bar. There are 16 beers available on tap and dishes on the menu are matched to the appropriate beverage. Enjoy a dessert as you relax to live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Wine is also available for those who prefer grapes to hops.
