The Black Kettle aims to deliver "good, honest, home cooked food", and according to the many regulars who call this place their favourite little local, it does just that. The cute cafe is welcoming and warm, an impression helped by the open fireplace and family-run and very family-friendly vibe.
The menu is similarly hearty, and includes breakfasts like the Black Kettle Magic Eggs (with bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushroom, hash brown and toast) and the Old English porridge with honey. Lunch and dinner bring around dishes such as homemade beef burgundy pie, quiche and lamb burger with tzatziki, spinach, feta, salad and chips.
