There is a rather humorous and extensive story behind this little slice of self-confessed 'British-style Indian cuisine, one worth asking the Bangladeshi proprietor about should she happen to be there the first time you visit.
The abridged version is that, upon migrating from England owner, Gulshan Hussain, discovered a void in the supply of the English style of Indian curry that originating in Birmingham, balti. Rather than fuss and fret about the issue at hand Hussain decided to remedy it with The Balti House; thus creating a new home for said curry in Millswood.
Balti is not the only thing on the menu here. The selection of other Indian dishes is extensive and caters to most spice needs. For the less spice-inclined, as well as the daring, this style of Indian cuisine is best consumed with an ice-cold beer.
